The Armenian EyeCare Project is fortunate to work with talented eye care physicians both in Armenia and around the U.S. Since the Project was founded in 1992, more than 70 physicians from the U.S. have traveled to Armenia, at their own expense, to offer eye care and train the country’s top ophthalmologists. Most of these physicians trained in Armenia have also completed one-year medical fellowships in the U.S., sponsored by the AECP, and have gone on to open and direct Subspecialty Clinics in Armenia in their fields.
