The AECP-CHLA 19th International Conference will be held virtually from September to November 2021. The large-scale program for this event includes numerous lectures, professional discussions and workshops for ophthalmologists, general pediatricians, neonatologists, pediatric endocrinologists, pediatric cardiologists, other pediatric professionals and family medicine doctors.
We are honored to have as Conference speakers, lecturers from Armenia, as well as speakers from the best universities and hospitals in the USA and Europe. This three-month program is designed in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Armenia, the World Diabetes Foundation, and a number of medical associations in Armenia. The participants of the Conference will be granted an opportunity to receive CME credits provided by the Ministry of Health of Armenia.
The first part of the Conference will be held from September 24 to 26 and will be dedicated to ophthalmology. Within those days, lectures will be delivered on glaucoma, refractive surgery, neuro-ophthalmology and oculoplastics, retinal diseases, pediatric ophthalmology, and corneal disorders. Professional discussions will be organized for both local and US ophthalmologists. As part of AECP’s Medical Mission, AECP volunteer physicians will visit Armenia to hold masterclasses and discuss severe medical cases with their Armenian peers.
The Pediatric Conference, a joint effort by the Armenian Pediatric Association, Armenian EyeCare Project and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, will be held on October 28-30, within the framework of the 7th Armenian National Pediatric Conference and AECP-CHLA 19th International Conference. The first day of the Conference will be devoted to COVID-19 and its complications in child health. Special attention will be given to the issues of children’s health during the pandemic, to newborn care, children’s mental health, and palliative care.
In October and November workshops will also be organized for neonatologists, pediatric endocrinologists and pediatric cardiologists. Armenian specialists and foreign peers will deliver presentations on their own experience, and will run discussions on the new methods of pediatric diseases diagnostics and treatment.
All materials and lectures of the AECP-CHLA 19th International Conference will be stored on the AECP-CHLA Online Pediatric Educational Network (OPEN) and available for free access. This will give a unique self-education opportunity to physicians and healthcare providers from all over the world.
