Strabismus – Specialized Pediatric Surgery

Strabismus, more commonly known as cross-eyed or wall-eyed, is a vision condition in which a person cannot align both eyes simultaneously. Strabismus always requires evaluation and treatment. Without treatment, it can cause permanent vision problems.

At a very young age Iveta became aware of and quite concerned about her appearance. Other children pointed at her and made fun of her eyes, but it was Iveta herself who first noticed that her eyes were different from other children’s eyes by watching herself in a mirror.
