Product Details
Product DescriptionSupport the EyeCare Project’s programs for children including infants, young people and teens to prevent long-term eye disease and disorders. Good eyesight is critical if Armenian children are to grow up with all of the advantages they need to be healthy, happy, productive adults. Eighty-five percent of what a child learns depends on the efficiency of her visual system with vision problems often leading to learning and behavior problems. Yet, most children in Armenia begin school without an eye exam. According to experts, almost 50 percent of children with learning difficulties have vision disorders. If identified and corrected early, more than 90 percent of these eye problems are treatable leading to improved learning and better grades. In some cases, if an eye disease is not treated a child can lose her sight—early treatment prevents vision loss.
