Art Simon, a cinematic storyteller, has been with the EyeCare Project for 12 years telling our story and the stories of our patients in Armenia. The son of a photojournalist, Art grew up in a war zone. He was so focused on survival that he never imagined he would live in America, “the greatest of all nations,” and help others thrive through his extraordinary power of storytelling. The inspiring tales he heard in his homeland and the terrible power of the images he saw sparked a passion for visual storytelling that has fueled his life and career. His films have helped the EyeCare Project to create awareness of its life-changing programs and to garner hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations to bring hope and sight to Armenians. Art has a magical approach to discovering, documenting and visualizing our stories.
